VOSEVI is a prescription medication for adults with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, either without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis. It is used in the following cases:
- -Patients with genotype 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 who have previously been treated with an HCV regimen that included an NS5A inhibitor.
- -Patients with genotype 1a or 3 who have previously been treated with an HCV regimen that included sofosbuvir but not an NS5A inhibitor.
The safety and effectiveness of VOSEVI in children have not been established.
Warning & Precautions
If patient has a history of hepatitis B, taking Vosevi may cause the condition to reactivate or worsen. Regular blood tests will be necessary to monitor the liver function.
Vosevi is often used alongside other medications.Patient has to read the medication guide or patient instructions that come with each drug in the combination therapy. Do not alter the doses or medication schedule without consulting the doctor.
