Medical Use
Rezurock is a kinase inhibitor used to treat adult and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older with chronic graft-versus-host disease (chronic GVHD) after at least two prior lines of systemic therapy have failed.
Recommended Dosage:
- Dose: The recommended dose is 200 mg taken orally once daily until the chronic GVHD progresses and requires new systemic therapy.
- Administration: Swallow Rezurock tablets whole without cutting, crushing, or chewing them. Take the dose with a meal at the same time each day.
- Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, do not take an extra dose to make up for it. Simply continue with the next scheduled dose.
Special Considerations:
- Renal/Hepatic Impairment: The safety of Rezurock in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment has not been studied. Weigh the risks and potential benefits before starting therapy in these patients.
Warning & Precautions
Blood Pressure Monitoring: Rezurock treatment may increase blood pressure. Patients should regularly monitor their blood pressure and inform their healthcare provider if it is elevated. A doctor may prescribe medication to manage high blood pressure.
Liver Function Monitoring: During Rezurock treatment, monitor total bilirubin, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) at least once a month.
Pregnancy and Birth Control: Rezurock 200 mg tablets can cause harm to a fetus if taken by a pregnant woman. Both men and women should use effective contraception to prevent pregnancy while using this medication, as it can harm an unborn baby if either parent is taking it.
Breastfeeding: It is not known if Rezurock passes into breast milk. Due to potential risks to the infant, breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment and for at least 7 days after the last dose. Consult a healthcare provider before breastfeeding.
