Medical Use

Ayvakit is a kinase inhibitor prescribed for:

Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST): It is used to treat adults with unresectable or metastatic GIST that has a platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRA) exon 18 mutation, including the PDGFRA D842V mutation.

Advanced Systemic Mastocytosis (AdvSM): It is used to treat adult patients with AdvSM, which includes conditions such as mast cell leukemia, aggressive systemic mastocytosis, and systemic mastocytosis with an associated hematological neoplasm (SM-AHN).

Recommended Dosage:

  • For GIST: The recommended dose is 300 mg taken orally once daily. Continue treatment until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs.
  • For AdvSM: The recommended dose is 200 mg taken orally once daily. Continue treatment until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs.

Administration Instructions:

  • Take Ayvakit tablets on an empty stomach, at least 60 minutes before or 120 minutes after a meal.
  • If you miss a dose, do not take it within eight hours of the next scheduled dose.
  • If vomiting occurs after taking a dose, do not take an additional dose; simply continue with the next scheduled dose.
