INGREZZA® (valbenazine) capsules are prescribed for adults to manage:
- Uncontrollable movements in the face, tongue, or other body parts, known as tardive dyskinesia.
- Involuntary movements (chorea) associated with Huntington’s disease. While INGREZZA helps with these movements, it does not address the underlying cause or other symptoms of Huntington’s disease, such as cognitive or emotional issues.
The safety and effectiveness of INGREZZA in children have not been established.
Warning & Precautions
Only take Ingrezza if it has been prescribed by your healthcare provider, and follow their instructions precisely.
Do not share Ingrezza with others, even if they have similar symptoms, as it could be harmful to them.
Ensure Ingrezza is kept out of children’s reach.
For Huntington’s disease, Ingrezza helps manage uncontrolled movements but does not cure the underlying cause or address other symptoms like cognitive or emotional issues.
Swallow the capsules whole without crushing or chewing them. If using Ingrezza Sprinkle, follow the Instructions For Use: open the capsules and sprinkle the contents on a tablespoon of soft food like applesauce. Swallow the mixture without chewing and drink a glass of water to ensure all the medicine is consumed. Do not mix the granules with milk or water.
Ingrezza can interact with various medications and supplements. Before starting Ingrezza, inform your healthcare provider about all the prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are currently taking.
