Warning & Precautions
Do not administer Qulipta tablets to patients who are allergic to this medication or any of its ingredients, including inactive components or the container.
Qulipta (10mg/30mg/60mg) may cause fatigue and drowsiness in some individuals. Patients should avoid activities requiring full alertness, such as driving or operating machinery, until they are confident the medication does not impair their abilities.
Since atogepant is primarily metabolized by the liver through oxidation, it should not be used in patients with severe liver impairment. Re-challenging in such cases is not recommended.
There is insufficient data on the developmental risks of Qulipta 60 mg in pregnant women. This medication should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits to the mother outweigh the possible risks to the fetus.
As atogepant may be excreted in human milk, caution is advised when administering Qulipta to breastfeeding women. The potential benefits to the mother should be weighed against the possible risks to the nursing infant.
