Medical Use

Zemdri Injection is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used to treat complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI), including pyelonephritis, in patients aged 18 and older. It is effective against the following susceptible bacteria: Klebsiella pneumoniaeEscherichia coliEnterobacter cloacae, and Proteus mirabilis.

Recommended Dosage: Administer Zemdri at a dose of 15 mg/kg every 24 hours via intravenous (IV) infusion over 30 minutes. This dosage is for patients aged 18 and older with a creatinine clearance (CLcr) of 90 mL/min or higher. The duration of therapy should be based on the severity of the infection and the patient’s clinical response, typically up to 7 days. Dosage adjustments may be necessary based on changes in renal function during treatment.
